Meet the Team

Co-Director
Dr Tracy Irish
Tracy Irish is an experienced teacher, theatre practitioner and education researcher with a specialism in Shakespeare. She has worked with a wide range of schools, theatre companies and cultural organisations in the UK and internationally, including the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Prince’s Teaching Institute and the Universities of Birmingham and Warwick. Her research interests focus on the place of Shakespeare in education and the value of theatre-based approaches for learning.

Co-Director
Dr Jennifer Kitchen
Jennifer has worked as a theatre education practitioner and researcher, specialising in Shakespeare, for over a decade: in schools, colleges, universities and with organisations such as Shakespeare's Globe and Coram Shakespeare School Foundation. She has lectured in education, theatre and literature at the Universities of Warwick, Glasgow and Highlands and Islands. She is passionate about the social justice potential of theatre-based Shakespeare practice in her teaching and research.
